Licensed Clinical Social Worker/ Therapist
Job Purpose
A Licensed Clinician at JESPY House provides interventions to remove psychosocial barriers to health and wellness. Collaborates with members of the healthcare team, the client/family, Case Manager, Daily Living Skill Counselor, and community liaisons to assure clients’ psychosocial and socioeconomics needs are addressed wherever possible. Advocate for and empower clients to maintain a level of control over their health and wellness and daily life.
Essential Functions
- Provide clinical services to clients that are specific, measurable and are provided based upon intervention plans and action steps Provide psychosocial counseling to clients
- Provide close monitoring of clients through follow up contacts and coordinate services with other providers as necessary
- Provide crisis intervention; assess and coordinate protective service issues.
- Ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner, including all progress notes, treatment plans and treatment plan reviews including any assessments
- Advocate for and empower clients to maintain a level of control over their health and wellness and daily living skills
- Establish short and long terms goals for clients
- Provide and maintain educational materials
- Maintain medical records and all other care related documentation
- Complete all competency-based training, both internal and external, to qualify for or maintain licensure

Educational Requirements/ Credentialing
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Must be contracted and credentialed with Insurance Companies/ Managed Care Organizations
Work Experience Requirement
- Two years or more working with developmental and learning-disabled adults
Skills/Abilities

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- Full Time - Hourly
- Must be available for coverage on some weekends and after 5pm when required
Special Working Conditions/Physical/Requirements – Working Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

- Must hold a high school diploma
- Valid New Jersey driver's license is required
- Must hold CPR/First Aid Valid Certification
- Successful clearance of NJ background check
- Successful clearance of Drug Screening
- Has fulfilled the necessary training requirements and is in good standing in order to bill Medicaid for Support and Community Care Waiver (CCW) Services and CDS
