Our Clients Need Your Help!

This spring we are skipping the gala and raising critical funds to:

  • Acquire 2 new accessible vans to transport clients.
  • Fund a year of Community Dinners where clients join together for a shared meal.
  • Support a physical fitness training program to promote healthy lifestyles.

Please help us fund these goals to provide even more for JESPY clients!

Accessible Vans
Goal $140,000

We need to raise $140,000 to acquire TWO new accessible vans to transport clients to programs, activities, and appointments.

More than 475 single trips are made every single month to help clients live full lives.

Athletes who compete in Special Olympics use the vans weekly to get to and from practices and competitions; clients in our Pathways to Success program rely on vans to take them to weekly vocational training sites; aging clients utilize our vans to make it to doctor appointments; trips near (bowling alley) and far (like Salem, MA) need access to vans to safely transport clients; and so much more.

Consider a gift of $75 to fill the tank with gas!

Support at every level is needed to purchase two accessible vans.

Community Dinners
Goal $25,000

We need to raise $25,000 to fund one year of Community Dinners that take place nearly every Friday Night at Judi House.

  • Want to support a single Comminity Dinner? Donate $500.
  • Want to support a month of Community Dinners? Donate $2,000.
  • Want to underwrite 10 clients attending one dinner? Donate $125.

Support at every level is needed to fund Community Dinners for one year.

Physical Fitness Training
Goal $60,000

We need to raise $60,000 to support one year of physical fitness training that provides clients the opportunity to benefit from living a healthier lifestyle and allows clients to be sociable with one another while releasing energy.

How does Training work?

  • 55 clients participate in weekly group training sessions.
  • 25 clients participate in weekly 1:1 training sessions.
  • Physical Fitness Training goes beyond Tico's Gym and meets clients where they are like the Judi House for Day Program clients, or the Och House for maintaining our aging clients' strength and balance.

Training sessions are modified for each client's abilities. Clients slowly progress from movements and machines once they've shown they understand and mastered that skill. The program creates ways to improve weaknesses and celebrate each client's strengths.

Support at every level is needed to fund one year of physical fitness training.

# of Weekly Training Sessions

Jamie* never misses a day at Tico's Gym at the JESPY Clubhouse. Before, Jamie would not speak with other clients during her session. She slowly started to open up and now she has great energy throughout her sessions and encourages those in the gym with her. Jamie's confidence has increased with the training program.

Max* began the training program thinking he did not have the skills to learn new movements. He would often say the workout was too much or that he couldn't do it. Over time, Max began to complain less and pushed himself through an entire session. Without even knowing it, he is significantly stronger and completes much longer cardio sessions. Max's trainer listened to him and always provides encouragement.
