Clinical Outpatient Services

The JESPY Outpatient Mental Health Clinic provides Behavioral Health services to individuals in-need with a primary mental health diagnosis. The clinic increases access to care, providing assessment, ongoing treatment and referral services to meet the needs of each individual we serve. 

The JESPY Outpatient Mental Health Clinic provides individual, group and family therapy, as well as counseling and education across all modalities, including concepts of wellness and recovery, offering support and gender-affirming care. The clinic offers comprehensive coordinated services that are client-centered and evidence-based. The JESPY Clinical Outpatient program is equipped to help clients in various areas of their lives and functioning, including, but not limited to, situational stressors, family and/or other interpersonal relationships, mental health issues, including psychiatric and substance use issues (SUD) issues, life-stage issues, and work/occupational functioning issues.

The JESPY Clinical staff practices a wide range of evidenced-based clinical approaches to meet the individual needs of each client.

In addition to these psychotherapy approaches, JESPY also has a medication-management component to its clinical program offerings that includes a board-certified psychiatrist who provides medication management and prescribes FDA-approved medicines.

Credentials

The JESPY Mental Health Clinic is fully licensed with the NJ Department of Health (DOH) and, as such, is recognized as a licensed Behavioral Health treatment center in the State of New Jersey. This additional level of licensure enables the Clinical department to grow and provide services to more people with IDD and their families, as well as neurotypical populations.

JESPY’s Mental Health Clinical staff are also licensed mental health professionals, who have extensive experience in counseling and clinical social work practice within the I/DD (Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities) community and their families as well as other individual clinical subspecialities, such as Trauma-informed care, Gerontology, and co-occurring disorders.
