The MEND ‘Sweet Pea' Van Visits JESPY

JESPY continued our important work with food drive donations and our partnership with MEND/Our Lady of Sorrows Church in South Orange. On February 9th, 2021, MEND (Meeting Essential Needs with Dignity) came to JESPY, bringing their “Sweet Pea” van to accept food donations.

JESPY clients, staff, and board members donated items that included oatmeal, rice, soup, canned fruit, and applesauce. Clients assisted with loading donated goods into the van. During the gathering, JESPY also donated items (client artwork and a diaper cake designed and created by JESPY clients) to the silent auction for MEND’s upcoming virtual gala. Jeanne Gordon, coordinator of MEND’s silent auction was there to receive the donation.
