JESPY House began serving adults with IDD in 1978 and is still one of the few organizations in New Jersey that provide comprehensive and coordinated services individually tailored to each client’s needs.

In 2025, the JESPY Community Came Together to Advance Independence for Adults with IDD:
Clients and community members sent 2,500 postcards to legislators to save Medicaid.
Senator Cory Booker invited JESPY House clients to speak at a press conference to protect Medicaid.
JESPY ensured client SNAP recipients were fed breakfast and lunch thanks to local supporters.
Clients advocated for disability policies in South Orange and in Trenton.
The Go Big for JESPY Campaign broke ground on The JESPY Center on the Cooperman Family Campus.
With Landmark Hospitality, the Pathways to Success program provided clients with job development skills.
45 new clients joined the JESPY community to advance independence.
